{IBS} Have a SWEET Day

,

Good morning Calypso here with a pretty rolled cupcake gift box to share with you today.
This being my last post with Inspired by Stamping, I would like to express and HUGE "Thank You" to Joanna Munster, for being an unbelievable friend and amazing 'boss" to work for.  I've had 2 amazing years with Inspired By Stamping and I will miss everyone very much.
I usually pick up these brown paper bag boxes from Michael's and hang on to them for those moments when you may just need it.  You never know when, but they are great to just have on hand.  I cut 2 inch Styrofoam ball in half and adhered it to the top of the box, which created the dome shape.
All the rolled flowers are cut out of the Spring Lilac Papers. I had tons of bits of pieces of this collection, that I just couldn't part with.  So I had to put them to great use.
Once I rolled all the flowers I dipped a third of them in glass glitter of two different colors. The flowers that were not embellished with the glitter, I added a flat back pearl to those centers.
Spring Lilac Papers was used to decorate the lid and the base of the box as well.
I stamped the the Petite Banner stamp set in a coordinating ink color and pushed a pin through the side to hold it.  I hope that you have enjoyed my project today.

Would like to share this project in the following challenge(s):

Hugs,
Calypso

{SS} #183: Anything Goes (Smartphone & Text)

Morning-
Calypso here today, to share a fun card that I made using Smartphone and Text
When I got my stamps I laughed so hard because, I did not know what some of these slang acronyms  were!!!  LOL...Talk about starting to show my age a little!!
I had to ask my husband if he knew and he did.
Love the image of the phone!!   This stamp set comes with tons of cool acronyms and your basic emoticons.
I stamped a few of the various acronyms and embossed in clear embossing powder.

{S.S.} #219: Decorate Your Card Inside & Out

,

Good morning!!
How is your Sunday going so far?  Any plans for today!?
I just have some cleaning up in the garden to do today.  I cleaned house all day yesterday, so I figured I would give my crafty area a break before making it a mess again!!  :)

Today, we have a new challenge for you at Sentimental Sundays  Our planned sponsor is on the middle of a business transition and we were not able to get images to play with.  That's ok though....I have plenty of uninked and uncut stamps that I needed to play with.
So since we always have a sponsor, I figured I would giveaway a few goodies.  Just hop on over to the blog to see what it is.
Out theme this week is:
Decorate Your Card Inside & Out
I have used the beautiful image Nettie, from Kraftin Kimmie.
Love that dress she is wearing!!   Colored her to match the beautiful paper from Kaisercraft.
Here is a peek at the inside of my card.  I have been good about finishing my cards, so this was an easy challenge for me to play in.
So come on by and check out the beautiful finished cards from the rest of the DT .

{IBS} You're The Best!

,

Good morning-
I'm up today at Inspired By Stamping and I have a bright and beautiful card to share with you today.  July's new release was filled with so many new and amazing stamps, that I am looking forward to wearing them out!!  LOL
My card today use the beautiful Forever Friends collection set.  Love the flowers and the long razor like leaves.  I had fun putting this card together.
The stamp set comes with a beautiful lattice like banner, that I decided to use as a background for the stamp.  I was planning on stamping in black but, thought it would turn out to look more like a sympathy card.  So instead chose to emboss it in clear embossing powder.
Here is a closer look at the embossing.
The tag is actually a wooden tag but, I have learned from previous experiences that the ink bleeds if stamped directly.  So I stamped the sentiment on vellum and adhered it to the top.
Added some black hemp cord and clear sequins, which really finished the card.

Thank you for stopping by today.

IBS + 4 Crafty Chicks Challenge #205: Crazy Egg-Anything Goes

,

Hello...Hello!!
I know...Please do not be mad!!!  With all these new releases going on this week, I have mixed up my posting dates!!  Argh!!!  I've gotten it all straightened out now!!

Today, I say farewell to the lovely ladies at 4 Crafty Chicks!
It has been 5 wonderfully amazing weeks!! Leanne, Lori, Tina and Tamie...
Thank you so much for having me!!  This is not good-bye..It's a simple, I'll see you again soon!!
This weeks challenge is: ANYTHING GOES and I decided to do something a little different.
I've been wanting to play with the wood burning kit, my husband bought me a few months ago.  I saw this being done some time ago and I've had it on my to-do-list for ages.
I bought this chest from Michael's awhile back and it looked like the perfect canvas for this project. I had no idea what I was doing and how well it would turn out, so here went nothing!
I stamped the flower from Friends Forever by Inspired by Stamping using a light colored ink.  Once you start burning the wood, the ink is no longer apparent or noticeable.
I sanded the top before I got started.  Once I finished tracing the the flowers, I colored it with my Copic markers.
I went back and sanded the the image again....The color seemed really bright, so I colored washed the entire box with a watered down white paint. I wiped down the box with a dry cloth.
Love the final results.
Love the simplicity.

Hope you well come us this week...I know everyone LOVES an anything goes challenge.  Have a great week and I will see you soon.

Hugs,
