Flowers for Mother's Day

 Good evening folks!!!
I’m back with another post tonight!!!!  Told you I had crafty time today!!!! LOL!!!
Today is opening day for a new challenge over at SweetStamps.
This weeks challenge is:
Flowers or For Mother’s Day

I created something other than a card for today’s challenge.  I decided to stamp and color on tile, Travertine tile to be exact.  The tile itself was very inexpensive and can be found and any local hardware store.  These not exactly the kind I sent hubby to get, but they worked and I love them!!!
The process was very tedious and difficult at first, but with some patients, they came together beautifully.

Here is my sample project:
CalypsoSS#64
Are those not cool or what?!?!?!
I'm in the process of making more and will post more pictures as they near completion.
Now these can be used for anything!!  They have been sealed, but have to be wiped, since I placed cork at the bottom of the tile, so it won't scratch.

Both of these stamps are SweetStamps: Iris and Dahlia.
I keep telling you that these stamps are big and I think that stamping on these 4x 4 tiles should give you a better perspective on their size.

Then i got to thinking how would I wrap them.
So I went through my files on my Cameo and found this perfectly sized box.

And here is a closer shot of these flowers that I made using Marianne CreaTables: Rosebud Makers

Same dies, I just tweaked them a little to make them look different.

Hi everyone-
Well I am so happy to say that I got some much needed crafty time in today.
Hubby was off and just gave me all the time I needed to get caught up on much needed assignments.
So I am running out of time for the weeks SFYTT- April.  I’ve had this images colored for a few weeks now and just haven’t had the time to put it together til today!!!  YEAH!!!
ATS#5
This is C.C. Designs Swiss Pixie Bouquet Birgitta and tree swing digital images that I have merged together, to make this gorgeous set.  Isn’t she pretty!!!  The papers I used on my card are from MME: Dolled Up. Unfortunately at this time the paper is no longer available on the ATS site, but that just means they are making room for more goodies!!!  YEAH!!!
Here is a close up:

I normally don’t do close ups of my coloring, but I am pretty proud of this piece!!!  LOL!!

My little 2 year old had a fit, when I had to peel it away from his little fingers to take a picture.
Since he was that upset, I had to hide it from him while he slept last night!!  LOL
I know I will be making another just for him really soon!!! LOLOLOL

SweetStamps #62: Stamped Frame

Hello my sweet blogging friends!
I hope that you all are having a very creative week, joined by beautiful weather.
Today we have another great challenge for you over at SweetStamps.

This weeks challenge is:
Stamped Frames

For this weeks challenge, I used two different SweetStamps stamps and a little bit of masking.
I am LOVing the recent floral release, that I am trying to find new ways of using these stamps to their full potential.

So the first stamp that I used was Cameo Lady, stamped it once and clipped out the center image.
Then I stamped it again with French Roast ink, but I used the circle that cut out earlier and placed it on top.  So when I stamped it, I would only get the image of the frame.
I then colored Parisian Bouquet with my TomBow markers, spritz with a little water and stamped it in the middle of my frame.  I really love how the colored image came out.

SweetStamps #61: Double Dutch Fold

Happy Tuesday!!!
Today at SweetStamps we have an exciting new challenge for you!!
This weeks challenge is:
DOUBLE DUTCH FOLD
I have to admit that I have never seen this fold of a card done before, so I was really excited after I watched the tutorial at Splitcoaststampers.
The instruction were very easy, the hardest part for me, was bringing the card together.

Here is my card sample:
Here is a side view of the frame on dimensions.
The beautiful image is one of the new stamps that were released two ago.
This is the Carnation flower stamp.  These rubber stamps are big and so full of beautiful detailing, which makes it fun and easy when it comes time to shading.  I colored the image with my Copic markers and then I added Creative Inspiration Paint- BLUSH to the image.  I then trimmed the imaged, because I didn't want to cut it off, every part of this image was important to keep. :)
The card was created with one  8.5 x 11 sheet of paper and the layers are Neenah white cardstock and the beautiful patterned paper is Limited Edition: Bird Song paper pack.  I used my Spellbinders to create the frame and to cut the natural burlap.  I added foam dots to the frame, added the pearls, then the image.

I think that it came together beautifully and I am sure that I will be using this fold again.
So I hope that you will try out the Double Dutch Fold and participate in this weeks challenge.
